Legacy Endpoint Support (v1 / v2)

The v1 and v2 endpoints remain fully operational and supported through October 31, 2026 — with no changes to their current behavior. There is no immediate action required — teams can plan and execute their migration on a timeline that works for them.

HeyGen's engineering roadmap and all new feature development are focused exclusively on v3. We encourage all users to migrate when ready to take advantage of ongoing improvements, enhanced performance, and expanded capabilities.

What's different in v3?

v3 provides full coverage of the HeyGen API with one exception: the Studio API (multi-scene) and Template API (variable-driven templates) are available in v2 but not yet supported in v3. These v2 endpoints will continue to be maintained until v3 equivalents are available — migration timelines for these features will be communicated well in advance.

Outside of these two areas, v3 is the unified platform for all current and future development.
