Embedded Interactive Avatar
Hello! We've been using an interactive avatar embedded in our company's digital coaching platform, but suddenly it's stopped working for all users across all browsers. The error message displayed is: "Failed to start session: Permission denied." Nothing has changed on our end. What could be causing this issue?
The "Permission denied" error likely refers to microphone access.
- Ensure your embed code hasn't changed and still requests microphone access
- Ask users to check their browser settings and grant microphone permissions.
- Test in an incognito/private browsing mode to rule out cache or extension issues.
Thank you for your previous suggestions. I've tried the steps you recommended, including testing the interactive avatar in incognito mode, re-embedding the avatar, and verifying that microphone permissions are correctly set.
Currently, the interactive avatar appears to load successfully, and I can even hear the avatar talking and see it moving in the background. However, a popup for language selection ("Enjoy a chat! Chat in English") remains in front of the avatar. While I can interact with this language selection and change languages, clicking "Start new chat" does not grant access to the conversation mode, and the actual interaction does not begin. The same error message 'Failed to start session: Permission denied.' comes up.
This behavior is consistent across multiple browsers and users, even when tested in incognito mode with cleared caches and appropriate permissions granted.
Hello again, could you please provide further advice? The issue has become very urgent, as our paying customers rely on the interactive avatar on our coaching platform, and it is currently unusable.
I have the same issue as well. It worked fine some time ago and all of the sudden stopped working and I also get the error message "'Failed to start session: Permission denied." Also after manually activating the microphone, I still get the error. I couldn't figure out a solution yet.
Here is my website where you can see the issue: https://tuantrungngo.com/
Would be great if someone could advise.
