API Icon (for variable setting) is Missing in Templates

Documentations states that in the Studio when editing a template there should be an API Icon/button available to set the text box as a variable for API use, I tried two browsers but this API icon seems to be missing
The API Icon is available for the video elements, but not the text elements.

Has anyone else had this issue? Is there another way to set a text variable for API calls?
